Policies

  • Stange's payment policy is as follows:

    A 3.75% fee will be charged for all credit card transactions.

    A one-third down payment will be collected at time of all purchases.

    The remaining balance is due upon delivery of items. Stange's staff will inform you of your balance due when the delivery is scheduled.

    Failure to pay the balance due within 30 days will incur a 1.75% finance charge, billed monthly.

    One-third down payments will be retained on any items remaining on order.

    Warehousing Fees: An additional one-third will be billed after products are warehoused for 30 days, and again after another 30 days until the product has been paid in full. Items that remain in our warehouse beyond 60 days will incur a storage fee of $1 per square foot with a minimum charge of one month. Square footage will be based on the assembled footprint.

    Refunds may be issued as in-store credit at management’s discretion.

  • Local deliveries within 15 miles are free. However, free deliveries will be tied into other deliveries so timing will need to be flexible. If a specific date and time is needed, the standard delivery fee will be incurred.

    Deliveries will be assessed a fee of $1.50 per mile one way to your home, with a minimum fee of $50.

    White glove delivery includes placement in the room and setup when needed.

    There is a $25 per piece charge for moving furniture within or out of your home. Prior notification is required so that the proper amount of time can be allotted for your delivery.

    There will be a $25 per piece disposal fee for each item. Prior notification of disposal is necessary to allow for the proper space in our vehicles.

    Due to OSHA’s occupational foot protection standard (29 CFR 1910.136(a)) it is required that our delivery staff wear protective footwear and are not able to use booties. If you are concerned about your floor being soiled, please have rugs or towels in place to protect your floors.

    Delivery staff may refuse service if your driveway or sidewalks are not clear of snow and ice. Firm footing is imperative for safe delivery of your purchases.

    Delivery staff cannot reconnect devices such as televisions or computers.

    Please kennel pets during delivery to prevent them from running out of open doors or getting underfoot while carrying heavy items.

    Upon signing the acceptance statement on your invoice, you are releasing Stange’s from any claims of damage or dissatisfaction.

    Stange’s is not liable for damage caused by placing furniture on damp carpet.

    Tipping is acceptable and appreciated.

  • Furniture/Accessories

    Items from our Clearance Center are sold as is, and are not returnable.

    Regular in-stock furniture and accessories may be returned within 7 days of purchase pending assessment of condition.

    All special-order purchases are non-returnable.

    Special order items may be canceled if the manufacturer allows us. Once a furniture/window treatment order has entered a manufacturer’s production line, it cannot be canceled.

    Mattresses

    All sales of mattresses and related bedding items are final.

    Flooring

    All non-stocking flooring items, e.g. grout, installation products, etc. are not returnable.

    Returns of in-stock flooring products are up to the discretion of Stange’s management and will be subject to a 25% restocking fee plus shipping and handling to and from our warehouse.

    Window Treatments

    All window treatments are custom items and not eligible for returns or refunds.

  • The length and extent of warranties varies greatly across our vendors. Please call our office or inquire with your sales associate regarding warranty claims of specific items.

    Warranties on items cover factory defects, and do not cover typical “wear and tear” or damage.

    All warranty-claim service calls and repairs within 1 year of the purchase date will be no charge.

    All warranty claim service calls after 1 year of the purchase date will be subject to a $75 per hour service charge with a minimum of one hour charge.

    A mileage fee of $1.50 per mile one way to your home or service location may be incurred on service calls.

    Items that are picked-up and transported by customers may not be eligible for warranty claims.

    Stange’s may refuse to offer service at our discretion.
